CYNTHIA DUNCAN,
RESIDENT 61 YEARS, DIES
Mrs. Cynthia Duncan, 81, resident of Porterville for the past 61 years, died Friday in a Hanford Convalescent hospital. Mrs. Duncan had been in failing health for the past several months.
Born Sept 17, 1886, in Dade County, Missouri, Mrs. Duncan came to this area in 1906. A homemaker, she was the widow of Arthur A. Duncan, who died Aug 19, 1965.
Survivors include three sons, Gene of Porterville, and John and Frank, both of Los Angeles; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Hayes of Hanford and Mrs. Jessie Baldwin of Palm Springs; one half-brother, Charles Landers of Alameda; three half-sisters, Mrs. Bessie Duncan of Visalia, Mrs. Sarah Pruer of Coalinga and Mrs. Lucy Lisman of Hanford; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Loyd chapel, burial will be in the Home of Peace Cemetery."
