Caverly, 1872, states that Thomas married Polly Cole, who was born in Woodbury, CT, and located on the farm now owned by his son, Elias T.Adams, and built the easterly part of the present house about the year 1792. He took that farm in a state of nature, and the most of the improvements on it are due to his labors.
