"ONWARD WOMAN DIES
MRS. RUSSELL SHEPLER SUCCUMBS FOLLOWING BIRTH OF CHILD
Walton, Ind. July 13 - (Tribune Special) - Mrs. Della Shepler, 44,wife of Russel Shepler of Onward, died Tuesday morning at 6:30 o'clockat the Cass county hospital at Logansport, following the birth of adaughter.
Surviving besides the husband are seven children, Dorothy, John,Raymond, Robert, Harold and Dixie at home and the infant at thehospital. She is survived also by two sister, Mrs. Medford Yoder ofLogansport and Mrs. Rena Somsel of Onward; her mother, Mrs. AnnaHopper, of Onward, and a half sister, Mrs. Russell Bowyer, who residesin Florida.
The body was removed to the Wolf funeral home in Walton and will betaken to the home Wednesday noon. Funeral services will be conductedat 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Christian church in Onward,followed by burial in Thomas cemetery."
Note that although the obituary says Thomas cemetery, thetranscription at the genweb site says "Deer Creek / Onward cemetery.
