where she met Bernie while he was on leave from the military. She also
worked at New Athens Shoe Foundry and then for the U.S. Postal Service
in Lenzburg, when they still sent mail by train. She worked there for
aprox. 31 years and eventually became Postmistress. She died of Lung
Cancer.
Sally was Christened by Father Joseph LeGrand at St. Agatha Parish,New Athens, IL on Nov 23, 1946. Her baptismal sponsors were Jacob andElla Mavers.
