Note: Grandma Aggie was an immaculate housekeeper, and loved herflower gardens, especially Irises. She always enjoyed company, and wasan important source for ourgenealogy search, since she kept notes,letters, and many news clippings of obits, marriages, etc. She was agreat cook and baker, and was employed for a number of years in thekitchen of the New Athens Home for the Aged. Grandma had a realrespect for people's dignity, and the aged and infirmed. She alsorealized the importance of family history, and kept good records offamily burials. She was very diligent about making sure the familygraves were tended and flowered. Grandma often took in borders forfree, she often opened her home to youths who had no where to stay,and was glad for their company, she was full of stories.
