"Hobart A. Fulker, 77, of 1408 Nicklin, died Monday at 10:35 p.m. in Piqua Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for about one hours.
Mr. Fulker was born in Covington, Nov. 30, 1896, a son of Henry W. and Emma Fritz Fulker. He graduated from Covington High School in 1914 and attended Miami University. He had lived in Piqua since 1920. Mr. Fulker is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Duncan, whom he married April 30, 1920.
He was a member of the Congregational Christian United Church of Christ, Covington Masonic Lodge 168, Scottish Rite. Valley of Dayton; Antioch Temple, Eastern Star and the American Legion.
Mr. Fulker was a World War I veteran and retired after 30 years as a railroad postal clerk. He was a school teacher for seven years in the Washington-Newberry Township School system. For the last four years, he was employed at the Miami County Hardware Store, Piqua.
Mr. Fulker is survived by his wife, two sons, Richard H. Fulker, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Robert M. Fulker, Piqua; one brother, Otto Fulker, Lansing, Ill.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Cron Funeral Home by the Rev. Warren Smith. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
Masonic services will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m."
