"HARRY A. FRIDLUND
A Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the First UnitedPresbyterian Church for Harry A. Fridlund, 85, of Lindsay, who diedThursday in a Visalia hospital.
A native of Sioux City, Iowa, he was a resident of Lindsay since 1941.He retired in 1964 as personnel manager for Lindsay Olive Growers,where he worked for 23 years.
He was a member of AARP in Lindsay, the Lindsay Masonic Lodge 416,American Legion Post 128, member and elder at First UnitedPresbyterian Church in Lindsay and Golden Age Chorus in Lindsay.
He was named Lindsay's citizen of year in 1980 and also recieved [sic]the AARP Who's Who award from the State of California. He wasinvolved in scouting.
He is survived by wife, Bernice of Lindsay; two sons, Richard E. andRobert M., both of Porterville; two step-sons, James K. Rowe ofPlacentia, and Larry H. Rowe of Lemoore; a daughter, Phyllis Websterof Lindsay; step-daughter Mary Lee Nesler of Altaville; 15grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren andfour step-great-grandchildren.
Contributions can be made to the First United Presbyterian ChurchMemorial Fund, 351 E. Hermosa in Lindsay, 93247, or to the AmericanCancer Society.
Following the service private cremation will follow with interment inLindsay. The Rev. Thomos O. Elson of First United Presbyterian Church,will officiate.
