"Delbert Dillon, Native of Exeter, Given Last Rites
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for Delbert Dillon 67,a native of Exeter and a member of one of the oldest families of thisdistrict who died Monday at Sequoia Home.
He attended the Local Schools and served in the army during World WarI. He worked as a ranch hand for many years prior to his retirement.
Rev. Glenn Miller officiated at the services and music was furnishedby Mrs. Matt Long. Casket bearers were Merle Washburn, Allen Jordan,Lou Joyner, Marvin Awbrey, Daniel Busby and Charles Busby.
He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Dillon, Strathmore; abrother, Cuthbert Dillon, of Lemoore, and five sisters, Mrs. MaudStewart and Mrs. Ruth Smith, both of Exeter; Mrs. Lena Garcia, Gilroy;Mrs. May Gray and Mrs. Zylpha Cunningham, both of Taft."
