Funeral services for Frances Elaine McDowell, 460 Grand Ave., will be10 a.m. Saturday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary chapel. The Rev. KeithHudiburgh will officiate. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturdayat Delta City Cemetery.
Mrs. McDowell, a homemaker, died Thursday morning at HilltopRehabilitation Hospital after a short illness. She was 87.
She was born Frances Elaine Clark Jan. 15, 1897, at Randolph, Neb. Shespent her childhood and received her education in Nebraska.
She married Herbert Kern McDowell Nov. 24, 1915, at Bloomfield, Neb.Mr. McDowell died Aug. 3, 1971, in Montrose.
Mrs. McDowell lived in Brandon from 1922 to 1947, when she moved toDelta. She moved to Grand Junction in 1978.
She enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, work and travel. She was amember of the First United Methodist Church of Delta, Rebekah Lodge,Senior Citizens of Delta and several sewing clubs.
Survivors include two daughters, Margarete E. Copeland of Lakewood andPhyllis J. Tinsley of Grand Junction; 10 grandchildren; 17great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. One sonpreceded her in death.
