Copy of military discharge obtained from Wytheville Community College Library, Mary B. Kegley Collecction, Wytheville, VA, says "In obedience to an order from Claibourn W. Gooch, Adjunt Gen. dated Richmond February the 20th, 1815. You Valentine Worley are hereby discharged from the present tour of duty.

"Valentine Worley, one farm on Cripple Creek, a branch of New River, 100 acres having thereon one "cabben", and one barn, valued at $400."
Per Mary Kegley in the Annotated Zion Church Records, he died in 1849 and estate was settled in 1861. Order Book E Probate No. 316.
