Individual Details

John VINCENT

(Bet 1811 and 1812 - Aft 1 Jun 1880)

Given name of John's wife is from The Perry Historians and not documented. It states that John was the second son.
Based on the death place of Michigan (I'm not sure what the source of that was), am entering census for the John Vincent family located in Michigan. Need to prove he is the right one.
In 1870, listed last in John's household is Francis Vincent, 9 (1860-61), born NY.The page at ancestry has a flaw in the area of the age and sex, leaving the sex not visible. Haven't entered that child in this family because Mary would have been about 45 when that child was born and it could be a grandchild.

1840 census, Seneca Co., NY, J. Vincent, head:
1 m 20-30 (1810-1820)
1 f 20-30

If this death certificate is for this man, this probably isn't the right Vincent family in Michigan. Unless the place of birth is completely wrong. There is also a marriage certificate for what looks like this man's son, John, and that would indicate it is the right family.
