Allie helped write the bio in the Montana history book. She said that she married Jack Morrison when she was 17. They had gone to school together. They eloped. They drove a horse and buggy to Virginia City, about 25 miles from McAllister. They then homesteaded some land about 30 miles from Ennis, MT. Listed their five children. Said she could remember the rounding-up of the cattle in the fall and at threshing time when they had to cook dinner for so many men. The entertainment, which wasn't much, was picnics in summer, a big celebration of the Fourth of July, and in winter, school programs and dances, good old fashioned dances. She lived in Porterville, CA, at the time of the bio.
