James Felix Cook
(19 Oct 1836 - 17 Jun 1911)
Served in the Union Army during the Civil War; was commissioned first lieutenant, Co. K of the 90th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, August 4, 1862; promoted to captain, January 1, 1864, and major, 1865. He was taken prisoner by confederate soldiers and was held as a hostage to be executed if General R.E. Lee's son was executed. After four months he was exchanged.
