Amos listed as 'died' (before the battle of Bennington), ie., not 'killed', suggests he may have died of illness. The NH 3 Regiment wintered in Valley Forge 19 Dec 1777 to 19 Jun 1778. Some of the NH 3rd Regiment was involved in the Battle Monmouth 28 Jun 1778. No indication that Amos was in that particular battle. Considering that it was his father 'Daniel' that received Amos' payment for service it is not likely that Amos was married.Endnotes
