Jonathan Tressler

Jonathan Tressler (Aug. 23, 1792-Apr. 3,
1869), the second son of Andrew Tressler
(May 28, 1746-Oct. 21, 1828) and his second
wife, Catherine Hamman (Dec. 25, 1763-May
12, 1850), was born in Berks Co., Pa. He
was about 8 or 9 years of age when his parents
moved to Perry Co. Very little is
known of his life in Perry Co. and in Stark
Co., Ohio where he lived a number of years
and where nearly all his children were
born. In 1839 he moved to Williams Co.,
Ohio, the northwest county in the state.
