Individual Details
Christian Hershey Junior
( - 1745)
Christian Hershey, Jr., and his wife Esther Egli, landed in Philadelphia 3 September 1739 aboard the Robert & Alice with their six children. They had left Friedelsheim in January 1739. Christian and Esther bought 300 acres in Manheim Township, Pennsylvania, next to the Snavely property. Christian Hershey was ordained a minister in Landis Valley, date unknown.
Christian came to America twenty-two years after his parents and siblings emigrated. This may be due to his being an adult, maybe with family, when his parents left Europe.
