Hans Landis Junior

Hans Landis, Jr. immigrated with his parents in 1717. He obtained a patent on 288 acres in Earl Township on the north side of present-day Peace Road about half way between Maple Avenue and Brethren Church Road.
Hans Landis, Jr. was chosen by Conrad Beissel to be the lay minister at Ephrata Cloister, Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Anna Good, were baptized by Conrad Beissel in Pequea Creek in 1725. Landis later left Ephrata to join the Conestoga Brethren.
