Henry Newcomer graduated from Mount Morris College and West Point. He earned top honors at West Point in 1886, and he went on to become a Brigadier General in the US Army. He served in the engineering branch. His assignments include Hawaii and teaching at West Point. He resided in Washington, District of Columbia.
