David Wilmot Newcomer Senior

David Newcomer, Sr. was a sash and door maker, when a friend asked him to arrange funeral services. About 1893, David opened D.W. Newcomer Undertaking and Livery in Kansas City, Missouri. His sons continued the family business. In 1925 the sons built funeral home that is today listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
