Daniel Bowman moved from the old Brick Church community to a farm three miles west of the Bethlehem Church of the Brethren. This farm, bought by Daniel in 1839, is still in the family. Daniel Bowman was a minister and an elder.

Birth

The Naff family history listed Daniel Bowman, Sr.'s birth date as 10 October 1785. Joel Flora gave the year as 1790. The Bowman genealogy book listed 1795. Daniel Bowman's memorial stone, though, listed 1796 as the year of birth, while the family bible listed 7 December 1795. Ancestry.Com gives 7 October 1785 as Daniel's birth date.

Marriage

Catherine Naff and Daniel Bowman were married in 1809, according to an unknown source of a handwritten ancestry flow sheet.

Death

James Denlinger gave 13 September 1833 as Daniel Bowman, Sr.'s death date. The unknown source of a handwritten ancestry flow sheet gave 1853 as his death year.
