James R. Funk
(1846 - Bef 1899)
James Funk served in the Union Army from 7 August 1862 to 18 May 1863 with Company C, 125th Regiment, Pennsylvania, Infantry. During this time he fought at Antietam and Chancellorsville. On 1 July 1863 James reenlisted, this time serving in Company E, 46th Pennsylvania, Militia. He was discharged on 30 July 1863, but enlisted for a third time on 21 January 1864. This time with Company I, 168th Regiment, and saw battle at Drury's Bluff and Cold Harbor. James was wounded at Cold Harbor and discharged un June 1865.
