Eva Catherine Flora was born, most likely, on the ship "Hope" while on its way to Philadelphia from Rotterdam. Eva Flora was probably baptised as a child in the Lutheran or Reformed Church. Her parents and she later joined the Dunker Church in Conestoga, Pennsylvania. Her name is also given as "Katrina" and "Katherine." Her surname is also listed as "Florin" and "Flure." Eva and her parents landed in Philadelphia aboard the ship "Hope" on 28 August 1733.

Eva Catharine Flora was born either aboard ship coming to America or soon after her parents arrived. Charles Andrews stated that Eva was born on the Atlantic Ocean during voyage to America aboard ship "Hope." But the dates don't work. Eva's family arrived on 28 August 1733, while Eva was born on 8 September 1733.Death
