Death
SOURCE: THE MONTICELLO EXPRESS.....JUNE 20, 1907...PAGE 4Miss Kate Folkers died at the home of her brother Henry E. Folkers in this township; at about eight o'clock on Tuesday evening June 18. She was taken ill with the measles a few days ago and soon after the pneumonia set in, but on Monday her condition was so much better that she was able to be up for a short time, but the next day she became worse and in the evening her spirit took its flight and her young life came to an end at a time when the future seamed bright and hopes ran high. The deceased had been keeping house for her brother since the death of his wife a few years ago. She was a splendid young lady, always cheerful and robust and her untimely death comes as a great shock to her friends and relatives. Owing to the lateness of the date, we are unable to obtain any of the particulars of her life.
