Little Son Of Ben Eiben Badly Burned Thursday
Raymond, two year old son of Mr and Mrs. Ben Eiben of Castle Grove township, was seriously burned by scalding water last Thursday. Mrs Eiben had a pan of boiling water on the stove and expected to cool it and wash the separator. When her back was turned the little boy pulled the pan of water off the stove on top of him. His chest and abdomen and one shoulder were badly burned. His face escaped burning. The boy was taken to the McDonald hospital where his burns were cared for. He wore a one piece romper suit, and the mother had difficulty in getting it off fast enough to relieve the child of the intense heat.
