Betsy Prouty

(3 Aug 1782 - 3 Aug 1832)

Ruth Holland, (Denver Colorado 16 Apr 1997) writes: Aaron Fuller was born 5 Jan 1776 and died 13 Jan 1821 according the genealogy passed on to me. Lived sometime in N.Y. Married Betsy Prouty (1782-1832). The only trace I can find is a couple by that name who died in Crown Point, NY and were buried there (according to Essex County Home Page) about 25 years later than my dates indicated and would have been born in slightly different years judging by death dates given. Do not know the source for the dates my mother had, and can no longer ask her the source for her information. Only place information is that his second son Squire Prouty was supposed to have been born in Crown Point in 1801. Whomever prepared this genealogy thought that the family were descendents of Dr. Samuel Fuller of the Mayflower list, but no one could verify that, nor can I.

His other children were Cyrennus, Betsy, Emily, Matilda, and my gg grandfather, Obadiah Eddy. Obadiah Eddy married Elizabeth Crossett, moved to Orleans County where two of his sons were born, and then settled in Michigan as did most of the rest of Aaron and Betsy's children. Obadiah's and his descendents lived in Montcalm County, Michigan chiefly.
