Frank Herman Eilers

While sawing wood, last Friday, with a buzz saw, near the Dr. Hunter residence, Frank Eilers accidentally caught his left hand against the rapidly rotating saw, and it was almost severed across the center of the palm. Two arteries were cut and the wound bled profusely. Dr. Hunter dressed the torn flesh and Frank is now in an improving condition.

Death
FRANK EILERS SR.MONTICELLO -- Funeral services for Frank Eilers, Sr., 77, were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Devaney Funeral home. Mr. Eilers died Nov. 8.
He was born Sept. 1, 1893, the son of Edward and Anna Peters Eilers.
He is survived by one son, Frank, Jr., one daughter, Freda, and one brother, Glen, all of Monticello; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bud Eilers, Clarence Bollinger, Roy Eggers, Elmer Hanken, Carlos Eilers and Don Schlimmer.
