Car Accident Occurs Near Lutheran Church

Cars driven by Frank Eilers, jr.,and Riess Stuhler crashed at the junction of primary 113 and Third street in Monticello last Friday evening, injuring the occupants and badly wrecking both cars. Mr. Stuhler is at his home suffering with a ... his wound received surgical attention. Freda Eilers, a sister of the driver of the Eilers' car, suffered severe lacerations of her head, and it was necessary to close it with ten or twelve stitches. Her brother Frank suffered body bruises but no serious injuries. Wyland Bone, 12, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph bone was severely bruised and cut about the mouth. Five of his lower permanent teeth were knocked out, one of his upper teeth cracked and the corner of another one broken off. His injuries are perhaps the most severe of any of the people figuring in the accident. Both cars are practically total wrecks. The Stuhler car, a Chevrolet coach, was hit squarely on the right side, and the body and chassis warped until it was moon shaped. The Eilers car had its front end telescoped, the frame sprung, and the engine broken from its supports. It is questionable whether it would pay to repair either car.
