While we were talking Joyce told me about a conversation that she had with Harold, (Hazel's brother) when he was in California to visit with Hazel the last time. His cancer had returned and he came out to California for one last visit. Harold got sick and was hospitalized for a short time. They were trying to get his strength back so he could fly home.
One night Harold and Joyce were talking and the conversation of religion came up. Harold told Joyce that the Guizlo family was Mormon. I did not know that. He (Harold) was a very strong Mormon and said that the family had not been happy with Hazel wanting to marry Charles V. Bruce, the son of a Methodist minister.
I was not there so did not hear the conversation. Just telling you what Joyce said. I do remember Harold being there to visit Hazel, him being in the hospital. (Carol Dornberger)
