Robert English

( - Aft 1796)

When Tennessee became a state in 1796, Robert bought Lot 63 in the new town of Elizabethton. Elizabethton is now county seat of Carter County.

There may have been children other than Henry, Samuel and Rosanna born to Robert and Sarah. One story has it that Robert had seven sons who settled in seven different states. Henry came to North Carolina and that is the only concrete fact that I have uncovered (Jack English)..
