Elihu Lockhart

Eagles' History of Kings Co. Nova Scotia states that the Lockhart family of Horton is of Scotch-Irish origin, but did not know when they came to Nova Scotia. His information on the family came from Rev. Arthur John Lockhart ("Pastor Felix"), a descendant of Nathan Lockhart and Elizabeth Fuller through their son Nathan Albert Lockhart. He related the story of three Lockhart brothers, Nathan, Elihu and David. Elihu settled in Hantsport Nova Scotia, David, probably first in Horton, then in Cambridge, Mass. and Nathan, made his home permanently in King's County. David orginated the widely known Lockhart Casket manufactory and undertaking business in Boston and Cambridge (724-725)
