My great -great- great grandfather John Nason was born in Horton c. 1804 his mother was Ann Lockhart born in Horton, and his father was Benjamin Nason born in Portsmouth NH. Ann Lockhart was born 12 May 1785 in Horton, the daughter of Mercy Fuller and David Lockhart.I see that you descend from her younger brother John Lockhart who was born 22 Nov, 1788. I find it interesting that his son Captain John Alexander Lockhart was a ship master. My Nason research has shown that there was quite a bit of traveling back and fourth between Nova Scotia and Portland.This has made it a bit tricky, but I made a breakthrough this past week. Benjamin Nason who was married to Ann Fuller was also a mariner, there son John Nason Was a ships carpenter, his son James Nason was a rigger. John Nason and his family immigrated to Portland from Nova Scotia around 1841.I say immigrated, but they were back and fourth so much I think they didn't know where they were born. They were born in Nova Scotia but Christened in Portland. John Nason was 44 years old in 1850, Captain John A. Lockhart was 38, these two men were 1st cousins and close in age, I feel thet had to know each other. Here's my line in a nutshell,
