PINEVILLE Mrs. Carrie Moore “Tootsie’’ Furr, 84, of 420 James St. died Oct. 9, 1995, at Mercy South Hospital. Funeral is 4 p.m. Wednesday at Independent Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Colcy officiating. Burial will be in Pineville City Cemetery. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church and at other times at the home. Mrs. Furr was a native of Anderson, SC. She was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin and Roxie Owens Moore. She was the widow of Boyce Furr. A homemaker, she had a hobby of making quilts. She enjoyed bingo and helping others. She attended Independent Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Bass of the home and Jean Ashley of Fort Mill, SC; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Memorials may made to Independent Bible Baptist Church, 17025 Lancaster Hwy., Charlotte, NC 28277.
