Buena Vista Bonney
(Calc 1852 - )
Buena Vista is a rather unusual name, for a person that is. It is, of course, Spanish for "nice view", and so there are lots of towns called "Buena Vista". The name seems to have become a family favorite for a couple of generations. There's another Buena Vista and there's also a Buena Clyde (I don't know where the Clyde came from). In Pauline Bonney's notes it's often spelled "Buna Vista" and sometimes "Beuna Vista" and sometimes "Bunavista". In some letters she is referred to as "Aunt Vista".
