Individual Details

William H. Myers

(Abt 1822 - 1876)

According to one source on the internet he d. 2 DEC 1877 in Reynolds county but was buried ABT 4 DEC 1877 in Annapolis Cemetery in Iron County. However, I found a transcription of tombstones from that cemetery and there is no mention of William's tombstone.

Some of Pauline Bonney's notes made it look like William was married to two different Suttons, Jane and Elizabeth being different people. Consequently, I thought maybe Elizabeth had died and then he married Jane. However, I had to revise my thinking on this family considerably when I saw the 1870 census. Elizabeth was definitely alive in 1870.

Some sources, including the death certificate of Cintha/Cinthy (or Cynthia) say William was born in Pennsylvania, but the census data says Missouri.

There is a Martha Myers shows up on the 1870 census, but since she's not on the 1860 census and she's born 2 years before their marriage I am assuming she's not a child but some other family member that came to live with them.
