Elizabeth Sutton
(Abt 1824 - 8 Feb 1877)
Elizabeth's last name is attested by the marriage records and James Ashford Myers death certificate. James A. Myers death certificate shows William Myers and Elizabeth Sutton as his parents.
Some of Pauline Bonney's notes made it look like William was married to two different Suttons, Jane and Elizabeth being different people. Consequently, I thought maybe Elizabeth had died and then he married Jane. However, I had to revise my thinking on this family considerably when I saw the 1870 census. Elizabeth was definitely alive in 1870.
I have seen conflicting dates for Elizabeth's death (1878 vs. 1892), but I've resolved that now that I've seen the probate record which states she died 8 Feb 1877.
I have also seen conflicting information for her parents. Pauline Bonney indicated her mother was a Huff. However, a source on the internet has her parents being John Sutton and Elizabeth Strickland.
