Edna graduated from Concord High School; and St Olaf college. She taught for several years before marriage at state school in Owatonna.
In 1933 she went to St Olaf College where she received a BS in Phy Ed and Science. In 1962 she went to St Cloud State and received a BS in Elementary Education. She was a teacher for 24 years. Edna was a Girl Scout Leader for 12 years and belonged to the Glenwood Lutheran Church and Glebwood Literary Club. In 1966 her mother, Herta Jaeger came to live with them at Glenwood, MN for 16 years. Joe Grove died June 23, 1982 and is buried at Barsness Cemetery in Glenwood. Edna died 9 Oct 1999 at the Glenwood Retirement Village at Glenwood. She is buried at Barsness Cemetery.

Marriage Vows are Exchanged Saturday
Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock on August 14th, at the Trinity Methodist Church in St Paul, Minnesota, Miss Edna A. Jaeger, daughter of Dr and Mrs. J.A> Jaeger of West Concord, Minn, became the bride of Mr. Joseph O. Grove, son of Mrs. J.O. Grove of Glenwood, Minn. The nuptial rites were conducted by Rev Northrup of St Paul, Minnesota.
The bride, who was dressed in a brown wool suit with harmonizing accessories, was attended by her sister, Miss Florence Jaeger. The groom was attended by his brother, Mr. Jerome Grove of Glenwood. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Dr. J.A. Jaeger.
Mrs Grove was graduated from the West Concord High School and St Olaf College. Since her graduation she has been teaching Physical Education and Science at the State School at Owatonna, Minn. Mr Grove was graduated from the Glenwood High School and in Forestry from the Montana University of Missoula, Mont. He has attended the graduate forestry school at the University of Minnesota and also at Iowa State College at Ames, IA. Mr Grove is a Junior Forester in the US Forest Service and is employed with the Lake States Forest Experiment Station, Forest Survey, St Paul, Minnesota.
A six o'clock wedding dinner was served at the Curtis Hotel for the bridal party. The guests included Dr and Mrs J.A. Jaeger and daughter, Florence, Mrs J.O. Grove and son, Jerome, Mrs Solverud Knutson, Rev and Mrs Northrup of St Paul, Mrs Adam Jaeger, Miss Louis Holmes and Mrs. Ben Condon of St Cloud, Mr and Mrs Herbert Martin of Little Falls, Mrs John Matt Brendal of Hallock, Mrs Hattie Fargo and Shirley Taplan of St Paul.
Mr and Mrs Grove left immediately after the wedding dinner for a trip to northern Minnesota and Canada.

Edna Grove
Edna Grove, 87, of Glenwood died Saturday evening, Oct 9, at the Glenwood Retirement Village.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct 12, at 11 am at Glenwood Lutheran Church with the Rev Arthur Montgomery officiating. Interment will be in the Barsness Lutheran Cemetery. There will also be a service at All Saints Chapel, Glenwood Retirement Village at 9 am Yuesday. Friends may call at the Hoplin Funeral Chapel today from 4 to 7 pm and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Edna Grove was born June 13, 1912, in Sentinel Butte, ND., the daughter of John and Herta (Eilertson) Jaeger. As a child she also lived in Chicago (1913-1915), Elk River (1915-1922), Willow River (1922-1926) and West Concord (1926-1929). She graduated from West Concord High School in 1929. She attended St Olaf College in Northfield, graduating with a BA degree in physical education in 1933. Years later, she received her BS degree from St Cloud State College in 1962.
On August 14, 1937, she married Joseph Orlando Grove, a farmer and forester, in St Paul. In 1940 they moved to Glenwood to farm the Grove farm in Barsness Township. She taught school for 24 years. Two years were in Mantorville and one was at the State School for Dependent Children in Owatonna. She then taught for nine years in rural schools in Farwell, Sedan and Grove Lake before she spent 12 years teaching fifth grade in Glenwood. She retired from teaching in 1974. On Jan 28, 1971, she was honored as Teacher of the Year.
She loved to travel and had been to all 50 states, twice to the Holy Land and once to Europe. She enjoyed reading, needlework, house plants and gardening, weekly Bible studies and visiting her children, relatives and friends, loved nature and birds, and enjoyed deer hunting every year. She was a woman who enjoyed life and learning, sharing that joy with others.
Edna is survived by three daughters: Gretchen and Carl Breske of International Falls, Minn.; Janet and Tom Hill of Worland, Wyo.; and Joey Davie of Blaine, Minn.; five grandchildren: Greg Breske, Jennifer and John Hopkins, Dr Kristine Hill, Jeffrey and Liane Davie, and Heather Davie; four great-grandchildren: Timothy Davie, Joshua Davie, Ashlyn Davie and Emily Hopkins; and sister, Florence Finnicum of Richmond, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph in 1982 and grandson Michael Davie in 1990.
She was active in Girl Scouts, a member of Glenwood Lutheran Church and a women's circle, Literacy Club and various other organizations. For much of her life, she was also busy with her husband on the farm.
