About William C. Morgan
He was in military service on 10 Dec 1805 in the 56th Regiment, Kentucky "Cornstalk" Militia, as a Major.
He was killed by Edward Osborn Sr. in debt dispute with William's father David. (Who was also killed by Osborn) William's death left three children who inherited his share of David Morgan's land and slaves. He also had two sons with Elizabeth Salisbury whom he never married (perhaps this was after Susannah's death in 1806). After William's death (in 1813), his mother bequethed land to Elizabeth's sons. As adults the sons used Morgan as their last name. (They were William Wallace Salisbury and Morgan Salisbury)
Floyd Co, KY court records: Nov 1815 - names Polly Morgan, David Morgan, and Anne Morgan as infant heirs of Wm. Morgan, deceased, who was the heir of David Morgan, decd.
The administrator of his estate was his father-in-law, John Spurlock. When John died in 1816, his wife Fanny became the administratrix. She paid William James Mayo (guardian of the infant heirs of William Morgan) $30 for one lot in Prestonsburg owned by William Morgan.
