James Long of Cresco is DeadCresca IA - James Long, 43, died in St Joseph's Mercy Hospita; here Monday folowing two months of illness.
Funeral services will be at 10 o'clock Wed morning in the Bradley funeral home here, Burial will be in the Howard Center twp Cemetery west of Creasco.
Mr Long was the son of Mrs Edna Shields of Cresco. He was a life long resident here. He was employed for many years by Howard County in the road maintenace department, He worked there until his health failed.
He is survived by the widow, two sons, James and Michael, his mother, 3 brothers, one half brother and 3 sisters. Earl and Frank Long, Waterloo; Charles Long, Cresco; Arthur Shields, Cresco; Mrs, Joe Corfes and Mrs Kenneth Shaw, Waterloo; and Mrs. Max Fisher, Monticello.
