Death
ObituaryLevi Stearns Drew was born at Stetson, Maine, January 1, 1834. He spent most of his boyhood in Boston, Mass. He came to MN when a young man, being one of the first settlers of Wright County.
On Sept 14, 1861, at the age of 27, he enlisted with Co I Second Minnesota Infantry and served until the end of the Civil War. He was united in marriage on Nov 11, 1865, to Mary E Putnam. To this union were born eight children. Since the close of the Civil War he spent the remainder of his life in Wright County, coming to Monticello to live in 1914, at which place he passed away May 2, 1929 at the age of 95 years, 4 months and one day.
He is survived by two sons, four daughters, Mrs Ellen Putnam, Mrs A H Hannah, of Bend Oregon; Mrs James Wood of Earlville, Ill; Earl Drew of St Paul; Mrs John D Bell and William Drew of this place.
His wife preceded him in death June 29, 1927.
