Biography
Mary Dodge (Edward, Richard) was born 21 April 1672 in Beverly, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony. [1] She was a member of the First Parish Unitarian Church. [2]
Death
Mary Woodbury [w. of Dea. Peter, Nov 20, GR3], 1763. CR2 [in her 90th year of her age. GR3], so age 89, in Beverly, Massachusetts. [3] She was buried in the "Old Cemetery" off of Conant Street. The cemetery is located next to the 2nd Parish Cemetery in the woods. Her stone reads:
"Here Lyes the body of Mrs. Mary Woodburywidow of Deacon Peter Woodburydied Novr 20th 1763 In ye 90th year of her age." [4]
Note: The discrepancy of one year in her age is not strange. She had outlived her husband and all who would have had any actual knowledge of the date of her birth. [5]
Marriage
She married Peter Woodbery (1666-1707), at Chebacco, 18 November 1692. Chebacco is part of Ipswich, Massachusetts. [3] They lived on the homestead that belonged to his father and his grandfather before him.
