Nora was the sister of Catherine Butler Long and was named in Catherine's obituary.
Nora married Patrick Mockler, perhaps in Alexander Co, Illinois, on 14 April 1855. He was a railroad worker and later bought a farm near Stanwood, Cedar County, Iowa where he died in 1903 and left a will dividing his land among his children. Patrick and Nora were divorced in 1880 but were separated from 1878.Nora lived with her widowed brother, Patrick Butler, until his death in 1900. She lived her later years in Fort Dodge. Iowa and is buried there. It appears that she actually died at her daughter, Nancy Mary Dales in Shelby County, Iowa.
