Nora was the sister of Catherine Butler Long and was named in Catherine's obituary.
Nora married Patrick Mockler, perhaps in Alexander Co, Illinois, on 14 April 1855. He was a railroad worker and later bought a farm near Stanwood, Cedar County, Iowa where he died in 1903 and left a will dividing his land among his children. Patrick and Nora were divorced in 1880 but were separated from 1878.Nora lived with her widowed brother, Patrick Butler, until his death in 1900. She lived her later years in Fort Dodge. Marriage
Perhaps this marriage date is correct. There is a record in Alexander County but there is also one in 1862 there that would not work since they had children by then.==========

Death
Some on Ancestry give death date of June 1909 in Cedar Co, IA but this can't be correct since she is listed in the 1915 Fort Dodge City Directory.=========
She died at Botna, Shelby, Iowa which I surmise was at her daughter, Nancy Mary Dale, since Nancy lived in Shelby County, IA. Otherwise Nora lived her later years at Fort Dodge, IA and appears to have lived there until the last little bit of her life as she is listed in the Fort Dodge City Directory with other children in 1915.
