One of the most highly respected member of our community in the person of Patrick Mockler, passed away last Wednesday, Dec. 2nd.  Mr. Mockler was born April 14, 1829, in County Tiperrary, Ireland.  He came to this country in 1849 and settled in Chicago, Illinois.  He was married to Miss Honora Butler April 14, 1855.  In 1858 with his wife he came to Iowa, where he has since resided, carving out for himself and family here on the prairies of the early day a most comfortable home and farm.  Mr. Mockler was the father of seven children, five of whom are now living, viz., Mrs. Julia Martin of Ft.
