Cresco, IA - Funeral services for John W. Long, 62, who died April 14 at the home of his nephew, Ray Long of Howard Center township, were held here.
Deceased was born May 14, 1868 on the farm where he died and where he had lived most of his life. He is survived by one brother, Frank Long of St Cloud, MN and three sisters, Miss Mary Long at home, Miss Ella of Chicago and Mrs. Kathryn Flock, also of Chicago. His parents were Lawrence and Kathryn Long, pioneer settlers of Howard county.
Rev. E.J. Doughterty, pastor of Assumption parish conducted the funeral service at St Joseph's Church and interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Cresco.
