Gary D. Hill joined the US Air Force in 1968 and served for 4 years as an intelligence analyst, radio intercept.He was stationed at the R. A. F. Chicksands Base in England with the 6950th Security Group and at Wakkanai Air Station in Japan with the 6986th Mobile Security Squadron.
Occupation
His career included working for an advertising agency as a graphic artist and hand lettering and hand painting for an outdoor advertising company (billboards). Eventually, he became a professional sign painter and worked for sign and graphic companies in Illinois and in Colorado.In 1987, he transferred his skills to computer graphics and drafting, eventually working for an engineering company at the Denver Tech Center utilizing Autocadd drafting.
He contracted with the Air Force, and with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory providing multiple drafting skills including mechanical, architectural, electrical, and design.
Education
As a civilian after serving in the Air Force, he attended Parkland Jr. College, in Champaign, IL, majoring in liberal arts and design.Endnotes
