Military
James H. Hill, Sr. was a Navy Seaman, on board the U.S.S. Chester, during WW II in the Pacific.His ship was 24 hours away from Pearl Harbor as it’s destination on December 7, 1941.
The crew of the U.S.S. Chester picked up a large number of the survivors of the sinking of the Lexington aircraft carrier during the Battle of the Coral Sea.
James received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy at the end of WW II.

After his marriage to his second wife, James H. Hill and Clarice lived in the mountains of New Mexico, at Ojo Felice, for a number of years, and then moved to the mountains of Tennessee.Clarice passed away in the 1990s, and James was last known to be living in Florida with a daughter.
