Richard Scott
(1607 - Abt 1680)
Richard Scott, Richard Scott, the younger who is probably a second son, and John Scott all served in King Philip's War 1674-1676.
Richard Scott came to New England in the ship "Griffin" in 1634 along with William Hutchinson and his wife Anne and Anne's sister, Catherine Marbury, whom he married. He first settled in Ipswich MA but removed to Providence before 1637. Richard and Catherine were among the first Quakers of Rhode Island.

Vol. XIV Deed Book 1, p. 94 March 1681, Laid out to Sarah Katheren & Mary Scott, granddaughters to Richard Scott deceased - 70 acres. Recorded 27 Oct 1684.
