David Whipple was placed by an early researcher as a brother to the Mathew & John Whipple of Ipswich. This was just WRONG! There was apparently confusion about the two John Whipples. John Whipple, son of Mathew, was baptized 29 Aug 1596 in Bocking, Essex, England and settled in Ipswich, MA.
David's father John was christened 13 Dec 1618, Great Waltham, Essex, England, and settled first in Dorchester, then Rhode Island.

Proof of David's father - the John Whipple in Providence is NOT the John Whipple in Ipswich! the following is the deed from father to son. David Whipple was NEVER in Ipswich!
