Peter Reasoner

(17 Feb 1735 - Apr 1807)

Peter and Mary [probably his 1st cousin] moved to Cumberland Co PA soon after they married. This was an area of Cumberland that would become Bedford in 1771 and then Westmoreland County in 1773. Peter Reasoner was a Patriot during the Revolution and served as a Frontier Ranger. He also served in the Washington Co PA Militia. His son John went to Ohio, followed by his father and three of his brothers, probably a nephew or two - settling along the Zane Trace. Peter & Mary are believed to be buried overlooking Crooked Creek in what is now Cambridge, Ohio. There are 8 known children.
