Earl Hays was born March 29, 1914 in Van Buren, Arkansas to William Henry and Etta West Hays, and passed from this life August 18, 1991 in Van Buren.

He was a retired former Grocer and Service Station Owner.
He was a member of Alexander Memorial Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Russell Hays.
He was survived by his wife, Ruby; and a son, Samuel Edward Hays of Van Buren. Three sisters, Clara Kilgore, Mary Deffenbaugh and Dorothy Vines all of Van Buren; three brothers, Paul and Donald Hays of Van Buren and Hadley of Jackson, Texas.

Funeral service was held August 20, 1991 at Ocker Memorial Chapel, officiated by Reverend Johnny Clayton, Reverend Richard Hubbard and Reverend Ron Batchelor with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Walter Thomson, Wayne Samples, Dale Griffin, Frank Newman, John Smith and John Smith Jr.
