Ruby Ellen Motley Hays, 85, of Van Buren died Sunday, February 1, 2004, in her home.
She was a homemaker and a member of Rena Road Christian Church in Van Buren, and a member of the Wood Memorial Christian Church Women's Guild, a graduate of Arkansas Tech University, was an elementary school teacher having retired after 40 years of service at Albert Pike Elementary School, was a member of Secret Sisters Society and the Retired School Teachers Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton "Earl" Hays, a son, Russell Hays.
She was survived by her son, Samuel Edward Hays; a brother, John Motley of Hot Springs Village; five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at Ocker Funeral home with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.
